So, as you consider new hires and 1099 subcontractors to help you on your business journey, we've built out the tools for you to invite them to Complect and assign them roles to help manage your template features and/or clients. This is still in beta mode as we work out all the kinks and "edge cases," so please be kind and escalate bugs to us. Head over Settings today and invite your first new helper!
It's nothing fancy, but it's yours and it's free. Now, specialists who partner with Complect can keep their prospect, client, vendor, or miscellaneous other contacts all in one place on our site.
Regardless of whether some or all your clients use Complect, you can now store notes, files, and tags about them all through your partner account. Add, edit, and store contact information in a familiar style and layout to our tasks feature, so it all feels second nature.
You can categorize contacts by our four "Types" (Client, Prospect, Vendor, and Other) and easily differentiate between a client using Complect and not with our legacy "Status" column that will tell you when you've invited a client to join Complect.
We've also enhanced our client invitation process for those who want a single URL to pass along to any client, instead of using our customized email invitations. Copy your referral URL by clicking the "Invitation Link" button and paste it into any message.
Please note that when a new client uses this invitation link, it will automatically add them to this contact manager for you -- no manual entry needed. So, you may need to delete any duplicate entries if you have added the client to your contact manager and then they create an account at Complect with your Invitation Link (instead of through a custom invite email).
Be honest, sometimes sending that email feels like more hassle than it's worth. Maybe you only had a "little" question, so you figure you wouldn't bug the other person or you wanted to wait till a "bigger" topic came up and you'd talk about everything all at once. 🙋🏻♀️
Either way, we're trying to tear down the barriers to communication and encourage you to contact your us or your compliance consultant as it comes to your mind while tooling around Complect. Now, instead of pulling up Outlook and writing an email (or failing to write that email), you can just chat with them! It's a familiar and easy to use interface for you to ping your specialist while you're actively working on compliance in our system with any question.
You'll always be able to tell if they're online too or have stepped away from the platform. If they're online and respond to you, then it operates like an instant messaging platform, but if they're away then they'll be notified of your message and will respond to your question at their convenience. You'll always have a full record of your ongoing dialogue conveniently in one place through that chat and can finally stop digging through emails on Outlook.
